Guiding and Developing Cultural Heritage Restoration Plans

Most artifacts are unearthed with defects such as fragmentation, fractures, and deformation due to long-term burial corrosion and pressure. Some unearthed bronze artifacts are mixed with soil and attachments, forming "wrapped mixtures." The combination of materials with different properties, strengths, and degrees of damage makes the formulation of preservation plans, extraction methods, and cleaning steps highly complex and variable. The important surface patterns and inscriptions of wrapped bronze artifacts are not only severely obscured but also threaten the material continuity of the artifacts themselves, posing challenges for subsequent research and utilization.
